Spring CSA begins tomorrow which is very exciting

Tulip reality. We planted 4,000 bulbs in the fall $Tulip reality. We planted 4,000 bulbs in the fall to plan for our biggest tulip year yet but much of it is looking like the second slide — sporadic or sections just entirely missing (with really no evidence explaining what the deal is) or blooming short as heck thanks to that 90 degree April heat wave (normal!!!). We always account for a certain amount of crop failure but when it looks like 2/3 or so of a really crucial & fairly high effort crop is just not on the right track, it’s a pretty big bummer. That being said, I was out there counting this morning & I promise CSA will be very well taken care of with the babies that *are* doing what they’re supposed to do, and we’ll hoard the rest for Mother’s Day, but we’ll likely have to ditch much of our tulip plans this spring. Also some are literally just poking out now so who knows? I sure don’t! and I wouldn’t listen to anyone who claims to know it all anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯$
